Ready or Not...

Cute Hide 'n Seek illustration by Eloise.
I know i've been on an unannounced hiatus from the blogging world for ohhhh about a month now...but I'm back! I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and is getting ready for an even better 2011!

Life has taken lots of exciting twists and turns in my world recently and is sending me to none other than New York City to take a stab at this whole jewelry design thing. SO....you can imagine my excitement as well as insanity trying to pack and move to a big new city. You will be hearing and seeing lots of my new finds come January...but until then I am off to Mexico to enjoy some beach and sunshine before I attempt to conquer (or at least survive) the frigid East coast winter!

Adios Amigos!

Pencil Perfection

Look how insane these carved pencils are....kinda like the crayons I posted a while back. Can you imagine how you get that much detail in lead? Very impressed. Connecticut based artist, Dalton Ghetti is the man responsible for these amazing detailed sculptures! Apparently he has never sold them, but only given them away as gifts -- think he wants to be friends :)

For more on Ghetti's fun pencil designs read here.

Brook+Lyn

Did some digging for some new blogs to catch up on and stumbled upon Brook+Lyn and their fabulous blog & jewelry line. These necklaces and bracelets are made of cord, agate and geodes that are bold and fun statement pieces. The pink and orange tones remind me of a vivid sunset!

Arty YSL

My heart just about jumped out of my chest when I saw this collection of Arty Rings by Yves Saint Laurent. I finally let my heart lead me right to the 'add to cart' button and then right on over to the 'purchase' button...it was like I had no choice! Anyways, I cannot wait till it arrives. The hardest part was choosing which one and in which color to 'add to cart'. Whoever designed this spectacular little line of rings - you are my hero. They are magnificent! Enough of my blabbering, take a look for yourselves!

Some close ups for admiration purposes!

Feather me Pretty!

I want one!!! I've been wanting an ear cuff recently and in my search for the perfect one I found these feathered beauties. The 14-year old Estonian blogger/fashionista/jewelry designer Anni Jürgenson is a talented young lady. The blue and gold one just might be coming home with me :)

The Dark Side

A great family friend of ours was sporting one of the Pamela Love Talon bracelets the other day, and I have been infatuated with this designer ever since. Her dark, tribal-inspired designs are fascinating. Love is based in New York and has collaborated with Black Sheep & Prodigal Sons, Alice + Olivia, Twenty8Twelve, Zac Posen, Marchesa and many others to create some truly unique and innovative designs. Love, love, love. Add it to my ever growing wish list!
