Not your grandma's needlepoint

Here's something you don't see everyday...needlepoint belt buckles! With the right leather belt, these could be just funky enough to spruce up an outfit. Throw on one of these cuties with a great pair of jeans and your favorite black or white tee and you have a fun, fresh little ensemble! I am particularly drawn to the red Native American inspired one. What do you think - too odd or just right?

Into the Wild

How wild are these false eyelashes?! Don't quite know where or how one would go about wearing these, but they sure are cool! Paperself is a company that is taking design with paper to new levels.
Love the zebras!

Haoshi X Rings

Lions & Tigers & Bears, Oh My! Check out these funky resin and sterling silver rings by Haoshi Design Studio. This designer showcases a variety of detailed animals on a square set ring or chain. I think they are fun and unique, and I love that they are all white! The monochromatic color is an unexpected twist that works well for these cute little creatures.

Winter with a Twist

With cooler weather comes cooler accessories! Or maybe it's just the change in season and the changing of the wardrobe that comes with it that I like so much. Sweater, scarves, gloves, tights, boots, woo hoo! I'm always looking for fun ways to bundle up, and these hats and scarves over at TinyToadstool are funky and fresh!

I mean, who wouldn't want to wear a little beret like this one?

The details...sigh!

Snowball fight anyone? No...ok, I'll carry them with me just in case!

Peckinpaugh Perfection

Patricia Peckinpaugh designs jewelry that look fit for a Queen. Her handcrafted designs are quite the show-stopper. This line of jewelry literally makes you feel like you have stumbled upon ancient buried treasure. Peckinpaugh was influenced by Mexico City, where she spent her childhood.
I especially love the cuffs - do you have a favorite?

Post Halloween Post

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween. I'm especially NOT a fan of clowns... Anything even remotely 'clown-like'-- yea, no.  There is something about the bright one-piece costume, the oversized plastic shoes, squishy ball nose, crazy hair, stupid jokes and not to forget the make-up that is usually dripping down their face that send me into straight up panic mode and sends my mind reeling for some crazy 'karate-chop' 'bitch-slap' move that will send them running, crying in the opposite direction...It's safe to say I'm not a fan. Luckily for me and those around me, I didn't run into anyone in this unfortunate costume choice this year. For the first year in a long time I had a nice costume-free Halloween weekend. Good friends, lots of wine and a good old fashion backyard fire. Nothing like a fire on a chilly night to get you in the mood for fall. Even though the weather decided not to cooperate this year and stay pretty warm all the way through October -  let's hope November brings more fire worthy nights soon!
