Not your average wood floor...

One of my aunts lives in Austin, and she has such great taste in decor. Her house is right up my alley as far as style goes. One of my favorite aspects is her kitchen floor. She stained a design on a bamboo floor and it turned out pretty awesome. I don't have a pic of her floor, but these are some similar floors that are equally as cool and unique.

Furniture With a Twist...

I first came across this amazing luxury line of furniture when I saw a picture of this metallic zebra piano, and let me tell you it was lust at first site. 

The men responsible for Jimmie Martin Ltd designs are pure genius. They take very extravagant and ornate furniture and transform them into urban one-of-a kind statement pieces like these.

New Heights

Etsy is one of my favorite sites to  browse for creative ideas. There are so many artistic and creative people out there, and it's great there are places like Etsy that allow a hub to buy, sell and showcase their talents. There are alot of generic crafty trinkets, but every now and then you find something that really stands out and is truly innovative and unique...Like these Stripper Stiletto Planters. Talk about thinking outside the "shoe" if you will. Check out the Giddy Spinster's shop for a way to add a modern touch of 'funky' to your decor.

Nature at it's finest

Last week I posted some bug inspired jewelry, and now I seem to be finding cool nature inspired jewels everywhere I look! These 'wood' cast cuffs by NAGA jewelry are pretty amazing if you ask me...what do you think?

 

I think this one might be my favorite. It is so unexpected, I love it!

24 hour Champagne Diet...

So they say it's my birthday, I say bring on the bubbly! Off to Dallas tonight to celebrate with great friends and kick off my 25th year of living life to the fullest!
